Cornwall

In accordance with Ya Ching's wishes, Ya Ching's ashes were scattered at Chapel Porth beach near Saint Agnes, in Cornwall, England, at a place where Colin used to go as a child for holidays with his brothers and his parents. When Colin took Ya Ching there a couple of years ago, she said it must be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

The place is marked here: Final Resting Place

Colin was with his brothers Rory and Jaime when he scattered Ya Ching's ashes on a wonderful sunny morning on 28th October 2011. The place chosen was by some rocks high up at the top of the cliffs, overlooking the beach of the cove below. The only sound was the sound of the waves breaking gently on the beach below.

After the ashes had been scatered, Colin said a few words of thanks for Ya Ching's life, and particularly for having been able to be part of it, and this was followed by some prayers and by a period of silence.

Here are some photos and a short panoramic video from the place, starting with the walk towards the rocks where the ashes were scattered, with the video showing the view from the rocks.
